My Fearless helper
My main goal is to breed queens from queens which I acquired from local breeders who have not used imported queens or chemicals in their breeding program for the past 18 years . My breeding stock consists of two main lines of Queens which are Carniolan and Russian as they are the only strains that show high resistance to tracheal and varroa mite. I do not follow old tradition beekeeping. I do not use a smoker or any antibiotics with my bees. I keep bees the way they are in nature. I give the bees what they need and not what i want them to do.
Producing honey from various plants such as Clover, Alfalfa, Russian Sage, Fruit trees and Golden Rod. I extract and bottle the honey on very hot days so that I do not have to heat the honey to get the job done.
I enjoy rescuing / removing swarms of bees from any area of Kamloops and giving them a safe home in my apiary or to any responsible future beekeeper.
